A day in the life
Welcome to the Toddlers 2 room! Your child’s last stop before taking on the big world of School Readiness! Our Toddlers 2 room caters for children 2.5-3.5 years, and covers an incredible program set to equip your child with the skills, and learning experiences needed to transition with ease into the preshool room.
Our toddlers 2 room focuses on the toilet training children and follows the emergent curriculum of Early Childhood philosophy which means that our program not only focuses on preparing children for their next chapter socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively, but we also focus on implementing a range of themes and key learning areas to make the transition as seamless as possible.
During this time Educators will use the children’s individual interests to create learning experiences that encourage and develop their sense of self and identity as they begin to explore, develop interests, and make meaning to the world around them.
The toddlers 2 room runs an indoor-outdoor program which provides ample time for the children to develop their gross motor skills as they explore our multipurpose older children’s playground. This outdoor space is home to our veggie garden, sand pit, as well as extensive amounts of equipment and fresh green grass for the children to enjoy.
Our Goals
Our goal as educators is to engage with the children and actively promote children’s learning through play and activities that provide an endless amount of opportunities for the children to explore, discover, create and imagine. We create learning environments which encourage and extend the children’s strengths, skills and abilities. We encourage the children to participate together and in groups while positively interacting with each individual child in their learning and support the development of their sense of overall wellbeing.
Communication
We like to stay engaged with our parents on the children’s ongoing learning and development through our Owna App. This allows us to provide you with daily journals, news feeds and observations of your child’s everyday progression wherever you might be. We send updates to our Owna App throughout the day, so that you can get all the information needed to give you peace of mind that your child is thriving while at the centre.

Frequently asked questions regarding the Toddlers 2 roomAre nappies provided?
Yes, nappies are provided but if your child is toilet training then families are required to provide the pull ups.
Does my child need to sleep?
We understand that some parents may request that their child does not sleep. For those children who do not wish to sleep, quiet activities and ‘rest’ time is available.
Are sheets included?
No, you will need to bring with you to the centre, a fitted sheet and cot size blanket with the child’s name clearly labeled.
