At Little Foundations, we value the importance of connecting children with the world around them through meaningful, real-life experiences. As part of our in-service training, we regularly invite community professionals—such as doctors, firefighters, artists, musicians, and cultural representatives—to visit our centre and share their expertise with the children.
These interactive sessions enrich our educational program by offering hands-on learning opportunities that spark curiosity, broaden children’s understanding, and encourage a deeper connection with their community. Through these experiences, children gain knowledge, build confidence, and develop a greater appreciation for the roles people play in our everyday lives.
At our centre, we aim to make each family’s experience as smooth and convenient as possible. That’s why we provide all essential hygiene items, including nappies, sunscreen, and wipes, so you don’t have to worry about packing them daily. These items are always stocked and carefully selected to suit children’s sensitive needs.
In addition, we offer five nutritious meals each day—breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack—designed to fuel growing minds and bodies. Our meals are freshly prepared and cater to a variety of dietary requirements, promoting healthy habits from an early age.
This holistic approach allows families to feel supported while children enjoy a safe, hygienic, and nourishing environment throughout the day.
At Little Foundations, we are proud to provide a screen-free learning environment. We strongly believe that the early years are a critical time for children to engage in hands-on, play-based learning that supports their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Research shows that limiting screen time in the early years helps children develop stronger communication skills, imagination, and meaningful relationships. That’s why we have made a conscious decision to advocate for no screen time at our center, creating an environment where children can explore, create, and learn through real-world experiences.
Our educators thoughtfully design programs filled with rich, engaging activities that encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and active participation—without the use of screens. We believe children thrive best when they connect with people, nature, and their surroundings, and we’re proud to support their growth in a setting that prioritises authentic interactions and developmental play.
Start Strong – Giving Every Child the Best Start to School
We are proud to offer the Start Strong government-funded program to all eligible preschool children at our centre. This initiative helps reduce the cost of early childhood education, ensuring that every child has access to high-quality learning in the crucial years before school.
By participating in the Start Strong program, families can access affordable preschool education, while children benefit from a rich, play-based curriculum that builds essential skills in literacy, numeracy, social development, and emotional wellbeing. It’s all about giving children the strongest possible foundation for a successful school journey and beyond.
